Lindy Hop II Workshop (19 May 2012)

----WORKSHOP
The evening starts with a two hour Lindyhop workshop from 6-8. This workshop will take those dancers who are familiar with the Basic Lindyhop moves, Swing out from Closed, Swingout, and Circle and will help take them to the next level of Lindyhop.

They will cover:
- Review Lindyhop Rhythm
- Review Basic moves
- Leading and Following in Lindyhop
- Basic Lindyhop Moves (4 or 5)

By the end of the class you will ready to hit the floor to practice your new skill.

----PRICE
Cost of the workshop and the dance that follows is $10 for DSDS members and $15 for non-members.

Prerequisites for the class: You should know the three basic lindyhop moves - Swingout, Swingout from Closed, and Lindy Circle

The night starts with a Beginning East Coast Swing lesson at 8pm

Then the dancing starts at 9pm with the DJ's Jerry & Matheu spinning great swing songs until midnight.

Cost for the dance, including the beginning lesson, $5 for members and $8 for non-members.

Dallas Swing Dance Society Presents...

This year Dallas Swing Dance Society is proud to present an all new Dallas Lindy Workshop. We hope you all join us this year. We are pulling out all the stops this year with more instructors and many more classes. This year we are happy to announce that we will be hosting Peter Strom & Naomi Uyama as well as Andy Reid & Mia Goldsmith as our out of town instructors. Additionally, local insturctors Josue Romero & Shannon Jabczynski along with Jerry & Kathy Warwick will be teaching additional classes.

Update: The new venue we booked didn't work out as well as we thought. We will have plenty of space however as we will being falling back to last year's venue at the Dallas Opera Rehearsal Center.

And last but not least we are offering a broader range of classes this year including full Beginner, Intermediate and advanced tracks for the entire weekend. We are also scheduling time for you to take advantage of private lessons with the instructors who want to offer them. More info will be provided soon on scheduling private lessons as well as class schedules.
