READING THE CALENDAR

Different events on the calendar, below, are hosted by different groups around the DFW metroplex.  Please click on each of them to learn more about location, times, and the organization who host the dance.

The Dallas Swing Dance Society host the Saturday "The DSDS Swing on a String" dance.  This dance starts with an 8PM newcomer lesson, has an optional Intermediate workshop earlier at 6PM, and includes DJ or band music through midnight.  A membership is optional, and provides a discount to attend.

The Sons of Hermann dance is every Wednesday at 8PM.  This dance takes place in Deep Ellum and follows a similar format to DSDS.  The Intermediate "What's Next?" lesson is at 8PM, at the same time as the newcomer lesson.  The dance then runs through midnight.  There's also a Karaoke DJ in the bar, so on their website it's called "Sing and Swing."

There are two events in Fort Worth on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Each is hosted by a different group - please click on the SSPH and FWSDS events below to learn more about them and for contact info.

The only dance studio offering Lindy Hop is The Rhythm Room.  Their events generally occur on Mondays and Wednesdays, although there can be events on other days, too.  The Rhythm Room is on Lower Greenville Ave, and is an excellent way to learn Swing Dancing with dance studio style progressive classes.

Dances from Denton Swing and the Longview Swing Dance Soceiety, LSDA, also are shared on the calendar.  These events are organized and hosted by their respective groups, in their eponymous cities.
